Our Mission
The mission of the ASPIRE Program is to promote academic, career, and personal success among AANHPI (Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander) students at Evergreen Valley College and beyond.
To achieve its mission and goals, teaching faculty, counselors, mentors, and staff use culturally relevant content, culturally responsive pedagogy, and culturally specific strategies when offering core services such as academic, career, vocational and personal counseling, tutoring, and mentoring.

Advisory Committee
The ASPIRE Program has an Advisory Committee composed of the Dean of Math, Sciences, and Engineering, faculty teaching in the ASPIRE Program, counselors, classified professionals from different academic divisions, and community members. We are dedicated to supporting all students in our program and all students at EVC as they pursue academic and personal success. We work collaboratively within our program and with other student support programs on campus to ensure that our students are successful in passing their courses and successful in achieving their educational goals at EVC.
ASPIRE Advisory Committee charge:
Through collaboration across disciplines and divisions, the ASPIRE Advisory Committee
advises, guides, and advocates for the needs of our Asian American Native Hawaiian
Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students. Using course completion rates and program student
success data to inform their decisions, the committee members provide feedback and
recommend strategies to increase student success and help set program goals and strategic
plans.
