TRiO Upward Bound

Welcome

Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in our partner High Schools, Yerba Buena, and W.C. Overfelt in their preparation for college entrance and enrollment.  

  • 81% of UB participants complete a high school diploma 
  • 100% of UB participants enroll in a postsecondary education 
  • 92% of UB participants have above a 2.5 GPA

The Summer Residential program stimulates a six-week college-going experience. Students engage in five weeks of college courses and one week at a university residence hall with Upward Bound program participants and staff. Students engage in cultural, academic, and extracurricular enrichment to establish a college-ready foundation to succeed in college.
