Ride Transit for Free

Current EVC students can now ride VTA bus and light rail for free (see exceptions below). Just pick up a Clipper Card at Admissions and Records

Where do I pick-up the VTA Card?

Please note that the EVC Student ID card is separate from the VTA card. Both cards can be obtained at the Admissions & Records (A&R) counters in the Student Services Building.

To receive a VTA card, a student photo is required. Therefore, students must be present in person to request a card and to make any necessary payment at the A&R counters.

The VTA card is available to all registered Evergreen Valley College students and provides access to affordable public transportation on VTA bus and light rail systems within Santa Clara County only. VTA cards will read expires December 31st at the end of each year. However, they will automatically reactivate in the beginning of January of the following year.

VTA Card for Dual Enrollment Students

High School students concurrently enrolled in Dual Enrollment at EVC, have the option to participate in the VTA Eco Pass program. If you are enrolled in 5 units or less, you will pay the amount of $6.50 per semester, and if you are enrolled in 6 units or more, you will pay the amount of $11.00 per semester.

Should you choose to take advantage of this valuable incentive for students, please visit the Admissions & Records office to make your payment and obtain your Eco Pass.
