Over-the-Counter Medications, Health Supplies, and Party Safe Supplies
The Health and Wellness Reception Desk has over-the-counter (OTC) medications, health supplies (tampons, pads, condoms, lubricants, external, internal condoms), and Party Safe Supplies (Fentanyl Test, Narcan, and Spike Drink Test) available to students.
Fentanyl Test and Narcan
Evergreen Valley College stocks and distributes fentanyl test and Naloxone (also known by the brand name of Narcan) through Police Services and Student Health and Wellness Services. Fentanyl test can
be used to determine if drugs have been mixed or contaminated with fentanyl to reduce
the risk of overdose. Naloxone is a federally approved medication to reverse the effects
of opioid overdose. The California Department of Public Health has provided training for assigned personnel
and written protocol has been produced to ensure health and safety for Naloxone.
Written instructions on how to properly use fentanyl test strips and Naloxone shall be distributed together with the fentanyl test strips and Naloxone. Written instructions include visual aids and links to online closed-captioned videos. Fentanyl Test and Naloxone are free.

Drink Tampering Test

substances. Written instructions on how to properly use drink tampering drug test
shall be distributed together with the drink tampering drug test. Written instructions
include visual aids.

CalFresh Program
The CalFresh Program (formerly known as Food Stamps) helps low-income households increase
their food-buying power to meet their household's nutritional needs. CalFresh benefits
issued through Electronic Benefit Transfer, also known as EBT card, can be used in
grocery stores and participating Farmers Markets. Homeless, elderly or disabled persons
may purchase prepared meals from participating restaurants with their EBT card. Effective
June 1, 2019, SSI/SSP recipients in California are also eligible for CalFresh benefits,
provided all other eligibility requirements are met.

WIC
If you are pregnant, have recently had a baby, or care for a child under age 5, or
have experienced a recent pregnancy loss, you may qualify for WIC if you have a low-to-medium
income or receive Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, or CalFresh benefits.

FPACT
Family PACT is a state program that provides free family planning services to low
income men and women. The program's purpose is to provide the services you need to
establish the timing, number of children, spacing of your children and to help you
maintain reproductive health.
These services are available here at Evergreen Valley College and at other clinics
(e.g. Planned Parenthood) that are Family PACT program participants. You must be
enrolled in the Family PACT program to receive free services. All services are completely
confidential.
